Hi

I have 2 wormcity wormeries, which I have had for 18 months and are now working well. Does anyone know how much difference it makes if you don't chop the food up? We produce quite a lot of waste as we eat a lot of fruit and veg and it is becoming a pain having to chop it first.

Thank you

Helen

I toss mine scraps into the food processor. It still takes time as you have to cut it up to put it into the food processor. I think it is consumed much more rapidly.

its true by cutting up the food give the microbes more surface area to start decomposing the food, and therefore it composts down faster.

Freezing and cooking vegetables also help to make the food compost down quicker
