I have had my wormery for about 7 weeks now and still turn it every day. I am wondering, my worms seem to always be at the bottom of the tray or underneath the mesh all the time, I thought I might put another tray on top but have found the contents of the tray below will not allow it to sit flush inside, have I let the bottom tray get too full even though when you look inside there is only about 5 inches of the tray used? Also I have found that any dead worms that I have found in the wormery{only 2 so far} have been very smelly and I have had to remove them is this right?

firstly stop turning it - let the worms settle in !!

take some of the food out of the lower tray so that the next one sits inside properly, as the food composts down it looses volume anyway.

its ok to leave any dead worms in the tray the are mostly water - so compost quite quickly - but if you are happy to remove them, then do so
